Rockim Williamson, a thought-provoking artist with songs like “Confidence,” “Waves” and “America (What’s Wrong?),” has always been musically gifted. “From a young age, I was singing, rapping and performing.”
Throughout the course of his musical career, Williamson has sought out spaces that would help him unite listeners seeking positive, relaxing, and light soul music in these turbulent times.
Williamson who you may remember attended an event at the Church of the Messiah and met with Pastor Barry afterward, which led to an opportunity to perform for a business launch as well as at the Silence the Violence last year, is looking to build momentum for his upcoming collaboration for Dave East’s “East Side Raps.”
Rockim is set to bring his positive and poetic style of rap to join an Indie mixtape hosted by DaBlock365 and Dave East himself. The mixtape is scheduled to be released the week of July 17th on the following platforms Top Mixtapes, Soundcloud, and select Blogs.
Rockim’s platform has grown since he performed at events such as the Silence the Violence March, Grosse Pointe’s 50 year MLK Commemoration, or even Confidence Choir performance during Lisa Leslie’s Keeper of the Dream.
Most known for solely sharing the stage with Black Bear and Superduperkyle during Oakland University’s Spring break Concert, he uses his talent to spread Positivity, Confidence, and the love of God.
