For the past 60 days, I embarked on a personal challenge to push the boundaries of my writing abilities. With my new book, “KISSMYASS: And Other Unsolicited Advice,” on the horizon, I felt the need to delve deeper into my passion for writing. While my previous book, “Hunnit Dolla’Ventures: Travel Tips for the Budget-Friendly Novice,” gained traction and continues to resonate with readers, I wanted to take a leap and explore a wider range of topics that genuinely interested me.
Every single day, I sat down at my desk, pen in hand or fingers poised above the keyboard, ready to pour my thoughts onto the blank canvas of the page. It was a commitment to myself, a promise to challenge my skills and uncover new aspects of my writing voice. From books to films, from poetry to current events, I fearlessly dived into the realms that captured my attention.
The primary goal of this writing journey was to strengthen my abilities as a writer. Writing for oneself can be liberating. It allows for complete honesty, vulnerability, and authenticity.
